Staying on top of it
Your health score
What the number out of 100 measures, why it caps below 90 or 100, and how to move it.
How it's worked out
Every page SiteRemora scans runs a set of checks. Each check is weighted by how much a failure affects people, with the weights Google Lighthouse uses. Missing image descriptions weigh the most.
- A page scores the share of its weighted checks that pass.
- Your store's score is the average across the pages scanned, each page counting equally. A problem on every page costs more than one on a single page.
The caps
- While any Critical issue is open, the score stays at 89 or below.
- While any issue is open, it stays at 99 or below.
A score of 100 means every check SiteRemora runs is passing.
What the words mean
| Score | Status |
|---|---|
| 90 to 100 | Looking great |
| 70 to 89 | A few things to fix |
| Below 70 | Needs attention |
What moves it
Fixes raise the score as soon as they're applied. New issues found by a later scan lower it.
What it measures
The score covers what automated checks can find. Some accessibility takes a person to judge, such as whether a description is accurate, or whether a page makes sense with a keyboard. Read the score as a measure of progress, and keep the record of what you fixed. How the store health score works walks through an example.
