Labels or Instructions
Every form field has a label, and placeholder text is never the only one.
Who it affects
Placeholder text disappears as soon as someone types, and some screen readers skip it. A field with no label is a guess.
What a scan checks
- Fields with no label, or labeled only by their placeholder, including fields in hidden pop-ups.
How it gets fixed
- A field labeled only by its placeholder is named with that placeholder, and a standard Shopify field takes its usual name, such as Email.
