What Accessibly is

Accessibly is an accessibility widget from On The Map Marketing, based in Miami. It has been on the Shopify App Store since September 2019 and is rated 4.7 from 27 reviews; two give one star, and one of those, from May 2025, says the store was sued while running it. Visitors open the widget to change text size, contrast, brightness and fonts or add a reading line. Background features add AI alt text and a skip-to-content link without the visitor opening it.

The toolbar costs $5 a month. Premium, at $25, adds text-to-speech, AI alt tags and analytics. Enterprise, at $75, adds AI-powered automated fixes, ARIA fixes, form accessibility and automated audits. The upper two are $250 and $750 a year. The same widget runs on WordPress, Magento, Wix and any site that accepts custom JavaScript. Accessibly's FAQ says it cannot guarantee full ADA compliance and does not update a site's code, and that accessibility starts with fixing the site itself.

ApproachA widget: visitors choose adjustments, and background features add alt text and a skip link on the page. Accessibly says it does not update the site's code.Edits the theme's Liquid, CSS and HTML and writes alt text into the product record, after a scan of the rendered storefront. Where Accessibly is the better choice

  • You want a visitor toolbar for text size, contrast, a reading line and fonts, and $5 a month is the budget.
  • You run sites on several platforms and want the same widget on all of them.

Where SiteRemora is the better choice

  • You want the issues fixed in the theme and the catalog, where screen readers and scanners read them.
  • You want a dated record of what was found, what changed and when, with a revert for each change.
  • You want to see every issue on your busiest pages before paying anything; the free plan shows them all.

If you are on Accessibly today

Keep the widget while the code gets fixed; the two run side by side. Run a scan, fix what it finds in the theme and catalog, then decide whether the toolbar still earns its place. If you remove it, scan once more to catch anything its background features were covering.

Questions people ask

Does Accessibly make a Shopify store ADA compliant?

Accessibly's own FAQ says it cannot guarantee full ADA compliance, and that accessibility starts with fixing the site itself. In the first half of 2025, 22.6% of ADA website suits hit sites that already ran an overlay.

Is SiteRemora cheaper than Accessibly?

Accessibly costs less: $5, $25 or $75 a month. SiteRemora's free plan shows every issue, and paid plans that write fixes into your theme and catalog start at $79 a month.

Can I keep Accessibly while I fix the code?

Yes. The widget works in the visitor's browser and the fixes go into the theme, so the two run side by side.

The facts come from the vendors’ own pages, their Shopify App Store listings, the FTC’s published order and EcomBack’s reports, and are re-checked periodically. If something here is out of date, write to hello@siteremora.com and we will correct it.
